Accelerating Maritime Decarbonization through Integrated Energy Efficiency Technologies
Presentation focuses on accelerating the decarbonization of waterborne transport through the integration of advanced Energy Efficiency Technologies (EETs) into retrofit and newbuild vessel designs, with the aim of supporting compliance with the EU “Fit for 55” package and IMO GHG regulations. A key aspect of this endeavour is the identification of the various constraints (i.e. technical, operational, budgetary, etc.), as well as the expected benefits that different vessel types may derive from the available EET solutions, whether implemented as standalone technologies or in combination.
