Dr.-Ing. Ajoy Ramalingam is the Project Coordinator for the EU-funded project on Metrology for Green Maritime Shipping. At Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), the national metrology institute in Germany, he is also a research scientist focusing on metrology for dynamic processes and understanding ignition characteristics of sustainable fuels through fundamental reactors and novel diagnostic methods. In the working group at PTB, he is part of the coordinating team that drives project conceptualization and acquisition. He has a background in automotive engineering and has worked in a managerial role in engine product development at Ashok Leyland, a leading truck manufacturing company in India. Later, he moved to Germany to pursue his Master’s and Doctoral work in Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University.
