Igor Sauperl
LEC GmbH
Igor Sauperl is the Business Development Manager at LEC GmbH, where he is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the company’s sustainable growth. In his role, Igor coordinates several research projects funded by national and international funding programs.
Before joining LEC in January 2016, Igor spent over 20 years in various management positions in the automotive and transportation industries. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed several international organizations and led interdisciplinary teams.
Igor holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Graz University of Technology.
LSSTF 2025
The LEC Sustainable Shipping Technologies Forum (LSSTF) aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas, exploit synergies, promote cooperation and network relevant players in the shipping sector for emission-free shipping.
The forum initiated by Large Engines Competence Center (LEC) in 2019 is organized jointly with the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) and takes place annually, alternating between Graz (Austria) and Hamburg (Germany).
In just a few years, the global forum for sustainable shipping technologies has become a steadily growing international network. Over 600 institutions and individuals from more than 40 different countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, North and South America have committed to the LSSTF community. This impressive international collaboration framework underlines the urgency and importance of zero-emission shipping technologies and demonstrates the strong interest in fostering global ties and cooperation to tackle pressing climate issues.
